HISTORY OF CORONA

In December 2019 cluster of pneumonia cases found in china. At that time unknown virus structure looks like an old coronavirus so they called it novel corona. But now AS per WHO Coronavirus is known as COVID-19(coronavirus 2019).
Coronavirus is identically similar as previously existing two virus




AND Now COVID-19 found in china 2019 


Group of people associated with seafood and animal market is affected by pneumonia in Wuhan city of China. This Pneumonia is because of Coronavirus This virus is spread into their family members and health workers and now this virus is spread all over in China and other countries also.


Origin of the virus:-


Generally, animal viruses transmitted to another animal. animal virus can’t spread into a human but in some cases, animal virus spread into humans this is called spillover. This animal to human virus transmission is due to some few factors 
  1. virus mutation 
  2. increase contact between humans and animal

  • MERS-COV  transmitted to human From Camels
  • SARS-COV  transmitted to humans From civets cats
  • coronavirus 2019 transmission detail is not confirmed yet


Structure:-
In coronavirus three parts are there 
  • The genetic material in the core
  • Envelop structure.
  • Protein spikes.

Transmission:-


 exact dynamics yet to be determined but sick person or affected person are the main source of transmission.
  • when the affected person spread droplets via mouth and nose due to cough or sneeze. 
  •  and also transmitted via contaminated things like Switch, floor, and table


Most Risk:-

  • Close contact with animals like live animal market workers.
  •  Family members of patients and health workers.
  • Child and older people. 


Symptoms:-

 mild symptoms like 
fever 
cough 
shortness of breath
convert into severe symptoms like 
pneumonia 
kidney failure and 
death


Diagnosis:-


We can find coronavirus in humans with the help of  PCR (polymer chain reaction). It is based on genetic fingerprinting.


 Treatment:-

 No specific medication
 No vaccine
 Only supportive care


 Note:- treatment and vaccine are in development


 Prevention:-


  •  covering nose and mouth while sneezing with medical mask, tissues and Flax elbow
  •  avoid close contact to those who were unwell and maintain distance minimum 1 meter
  • washing hand with alcohol-based hand wash
  •  avoid unnecessary contact with animals
  •  Wash your hand  after contact with animals
  •  if you are unwell stay home
  •  fever cough and difficulty breathing these symptoms appear then take to medical care and share your travel history to your doctor
